MCP lets a trusted local AI client use Mqttable as its MQTT workbench. It is off by default.

Access model

• Off: no MCP tools are exposed.
• Read-only: trusted local clients can inspect supported Mqttable state without changing it.
• Allow changes: trusted clients can apply supported changes while this authorization remains active. Return to Read-only or disable MCP when it is no longer needed.

Client configuration

Mqttable provides copyable JSON and TOML using a loopback HTTP URL. The configuration contains no Bearer Token or Broker credentials, and cross-origin browser requests are rejected.
